Item description : Kyoyaki tea bowl with design of Harukoma (a toy for kids which shaped the head of horse)
Name of artist : A legendary artist Mr Toen Murata who stared his career as an artist of Nihonga (Traditional Japanese pictures) and after that he started learning to make pottery seriously when he was 25 years old. When at age 36, he became one of great pottery doll artist and got name of Toen. Then, he had created various fabulous potteries and got prizes many time. It seems that this tea bowl was made in his later years and therefore must be scarce and valuable item. Original retails of this tea bowl is around US$900-1000.
