Item description : We are glad to introduce you the latest masterpieces from a rising Sosaku Doll artist in Kyushu, Kurofuneya 2009 collection here. As we have introduced about Ms Hisatomi, Kurofuneya a couple of times before, they are a local doll artist, so-called Sosaku (creative) doll artist, especially good at making dolls using Ukiyoe as their theme. As long as we know, there is no other Sosaku doll artist like them in Japan. This time, we would like to introduce their fantastic works of traditional Japanese dolls which were most popular in the last exhibitions they held 6 places in Kyushu. Please enjoy their prominent talent and techniques as a doll artist. The title of this doll is "Suzumu/Calm" which motif comes from the Bijiga artist Mr Yumeji Takehisa (1864-1934) who was a famous modern artist and poet in Taisho period (early 1900's). Please look at her outstanding posture and kimono which are made into detail and so real. Ms Hisatomi says that it is most difficult point how she transfer her image on a picture to a 3D doll but this is her prominent creativity that only enable to do. We strongly suggest you to put this wonderful Japanese doll to your collection. Her Kimono and face is made of silk and silk crepe taken from real Kimono and Obi.
