Item description : This is a vintage from middle of Show period, Suzuri-bako set with a graceful Makei in gold of cranes flying over the pine tree. It inclues a Suzuri stone and Suiteki (a water dipper). Please look at the fantastic Makie works surely made by a high skilled Makie-craft man probably in Wajima. Inside is finished with brilliant Nashiji (lacquer ware with a flecked effect) and the Suiteki is provided with beautiful carving designs. We guarantee that it must be one of your treasutred items in your Shodo collection.
