Item description : This is a handsome water jug in Tsurube (a well bucket) Shape made of cypress. It is originated back in 1500's, Azuchi,Momoyama period and designed by Takeno Jyoo who was a teacher of Sen no Rikyu. It has been one of popular shape of water jug used often at a tea ceremony after that. Please add this stylish water jug to your collection of tea ceremony items.
Age : 1980's or before
Condition : Excellent almost in mint. There are some water stains due to age.
