Item description : Traditional Natsume tea caddy Utsushi (a replica) called "Kizo-Natsume" which is a Innosai-konomi (the 13th Urasenke successor preference) with Ikkan-bari finish (with a thin Washi paper arranged on the surface with Urushi) which is one of traditional Urushi technique. It was invented by Ikaan who was a Zen priest in Edo period(1600's) and taken over into the present time. It prevents an Natsume from distortion and keep it in good shape.
Those dots stands for the stars shinning in the night sky.

Name of artist : Mr. Soetsu Nakamura who is a famous Makie craftman in Yamanaka, Ishikawa prefecture.
